Marshall K raps it out re Bubble2.0, rich media RSS, etc

By Marc

Marshall Kirpatrick intelligently knocks Dv*rak’s recent moan about “Bubble2.0″… I read em both, but won’t dignify the original moan with a link (ouch…)… Marshall takes the time to undertake a step-by-step refutation – nice one!

Hmmm… reminds me… sitting in my WordPress ‘drafts’ was an ancient post I never finished… bah… might as well just copy/paste it inline right now… and leave off with just the links at the end… here goes…

It cannot be coincidental that (i) I was a big fan of Marshall Kirkpatrick when he wrote for TechCrunch, (ii) I am a big fan of Splashcast and (wait for it…) (iii) Marshall is SplashCast’s Director of Content:

Mr. Kirkpatrick is responsible for evangelizing SplashCast to the blogosphere as well as recruiting innovative new media leaders to utilize the company’s platform for creating and distributing their content to anyone on the Web.

(Not to mention Alex Williams, whom we know from his Corante days, who is also part of the SplashCast team – nice group!)

So it’s also no coincidence that Marshall has continued with some great pieces with his writing hat on at Splashcast, extolling some of the possibilities of rich media RSS.

Check out 10 Things You Can Do with Mixed Media RSS and Comparing Five Ways To Tag Videos.

Sorry for sitting on those latter links for so long… but there ya go…
